NASCAR Driver Carl Edwards to Make Appearance at
8th Annual Michigan International Auto Show
February 2-5, 2006 at DeVos Place
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich) - One of the hottest drivers from the 2005 NASCAR
season will make an appearance, sign autographs and talk with fans, at the
8th Annual Michigan International Auto Show on Friday, February 3. His
appearance is sponsored by Vos Glass and Clear Channel Radio's B93 and The
Fox. To see Edwards, show attendees must have a wrist band. The first 300
people to stop by The Fox booth on Thursday will receive a wrist band;
they'll also be handed out on Friday during the morning and early afternoon,
while supplies last. Those who have wrist bands will be readmitted to the
show on Friday afternoon, when Edwards will be on hand in the Grand Gallery
from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Edwards has been racing for more than 12 years, joining the Roush Racing
Team in 2003 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Over the years, he has
accumulated two NASCAR sanctioned track championships, three
Rookie-of-the-Year honors (including the Raybestos honor for the 2005 Busch
Series) and 75 feature wins.
Last year, Edwards finished third in the Nextel Cup Chase with four wins,
including a sweep of Atlanta. He finished third overall in the Bush Series
championship with 5 wins. In 2006, he'll kick off his second full schedule
in both the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (No. 99 - Office Depot) and Busch
Series (No. 60 Ameriquest/Henkel Ford).
"Carl Edwards' appearance is a wonderful addition to our line-up of
entertainment and special features for this year's event," says Henri
