Toyota workers to demand basic wage hike

KAWASAKI January 14, 2006; Japan Today reported that the Federation of All Toyota Workers' Unions came up with a plan Friday to positively demand basic and other wage hikes in coming annual wage negotiations.

In response, the Toyota Motor Workers' Union, the core of the federation, is expected to decide within this month to demand a basic wage hike for the first time in four years.
