Grinder Production Improvements Made Possible with New Zoidal Cutter. Single Shaft Grinders Impacted According to Field Test by Republic Machine, Inc.

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Jan. 12, 2006 -- Republic Machine, Inc. (RMI) announced today that the plastics, wood, medical waste, document waste, and recycling industries can benefit from a new, patented technology that has just completed a 38-month field test.

These findings show that RMI's patented Zoidal Cutter, a trapezoidal- shaped steel cutter that can be used on single-shaft rotary grinders, makes a significant difference in grinding capability for any heavy duty manufactured product that gets recycled.

"The best feature of the Zoidal Cutter is its durability," stated Douglas B. King, President and CEO. "The Zoidal Cutter provides thousands of hours of wear in film applications, and this applies to several industries."

"We have seen items from large bolts to steel chunks to forged pry bars go through our Zoidal Cutter with only minor damages," said George R. Sotsky, Chief Technical Officer and Founder of RMI. "The days of welding these back into place every weekend are gone -- we have customers who have put 5000 hours on these cutters before rotating them."

The Zoidal Cutter offers a high degree of improvement over current standard designs and radically improves cutting ability for film and fibers.

The Zoidal Cutter eliminates wrapping, self-feeding, heat buildup (no meltdowns), and cuts nearly to size in one pass. The results of Republic's study prove the longevity and durability of the Zoidal Cutter design used against high abrasive and heat sensitive materials.

RMI's rotor/cutter/counterknife system, which includes the Zoidal Cutter design, has proven highly efficient with other durable materials like construction sheets, trash bags, liners, covers, films, sheeting, tubing and shrink packaging.

Notable post consumer products that are being run without wrapping or creating any heat issues on the rotor are: stretch wraps, plastic consumer bags, flexible PVC automotive trim, hydro-pulp from paper milk cartons and cotton fiber.

The Zoidal Cutter's design enables it to be rotated on the rotor head for double life. It is available in two sizes for greater adaptability of grinders.

Republic Machine, Inc. manufactures seven highly acclaimed single shaft grinders for a variety of recycled/reclaimable products.
