Robert Wickens first Canadian Red Bull Junior driver

HAMILTON, ONTARIO January 11, 2006; Cameron Motorsports graduate driver Robert Wickens has just been awarded the contract of a lifetime. The Ontario stand out karter has been announced as a 2006 Red Bull Junior driver.

Wickens will compete in the 2006 Formula BMW USA championship with Team Apex Racing USA, sporting the new BMW Junior Team paint scheme with Red Bull insignias.

Wickens is the first Canadian ever to be awarded a Red Bull Junior contract, and he is thrilled with the opportunity. Since finishing third in the 2005 Formula BMW USA championship, and clinching the 2005 Formula Senior title for Cameron Motorsports in the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship, Wickens won the FBMW portion of the Race of Champions in France, and finished sixth in a difficult weekend at the FBMW World Finals in Bahrain.
