The series, currently scheduled with feature events at five tracks, is set to begin Jan. 21 at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Ariz. The half-mile track, which also hosted the CRA season opener last year in conjunction with the “Copper World Classic” at Phoenix International Raceway, is scheduled to host seven features, including the “Western World Championships” in November. The series’ anchor track, Perris Auto Speedway in California, will host over half of the features. Promoter Don Kazarian, who on Saturday was honored as the Western States Organizer of the Year, has scheduled 22 events on his half-mile, including the “Budweiser Oval Nationals” and the season finale “Kindoll Classic.” Return trips for the series include visits to the 1/5-mile Ventura Raceway on three occasions and two races each at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway and Skagit Speedway near Burlington, Wash. for the third straight season. The series also expects to add other races, and those will be announced when dates are firm.
