CLEVELAND--Jan. 10, 2006--Alcoa Wheel Products (AWP) President Kevin Kramer announces today that effective immediately Tim Myers, 40, has been named vice president and general manager, Commercial Vehicle Wheels responsible for Alcoa truck wheel plants in Hungary, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Russia, and Cleveland as well as sub-assembly and logistics sites in the U.S. and Canada. Myers had been general manager, Forged Specialty and Cast Automotive Wheels. He succeeds Robert Sitzwohl, who retired from Alcoa in late 2005.

AWP also announces that Douglas T. Dietrich, 36, will become vice president and general manager, Auto Wheels, which includes the Forged Specialty Wheels and Cast Auto Wheels units currently managed by Myers. Dietrich will have accountability for Alcoa auto wheel facilities located in Cleveland; Lebanon, Virginia; Beloit, Wisconsin; Belaya Kalitva, Russia; and Collingwood, Ontario, Canada.

Biographical information on Myers and Dietrich follows:

Tim D. Myers

Tim Myers has been a member of the Alcoa Wheel Products team for nearly a decade holding a series of sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility including director, Commercial Operations, which involved commercial and product development accountability for Alcoa's worldwide OEM wheel business with facilities in North America, Europe, and Latin America. He joined Alcoa in 1991 as an automotive applications engineer with the company's Commercial Rolled Products group in Southfield, Michigan. In 1994, he became an account manager for Alcoa's Mill Products business based in Chicago, and two years later moved to Detroit as account manager for Alcoa Forged Products, selling primarily to the U.S. Big Three automakers. In 2003, he became general manager of Alcoa's Forged Specialty Wheels business located in Cleveland that produces wheels for trailers, RVs, motorcycles, pickups and SUVs. He gained responsibility for Alcoa's cast auto wheels businesses a year later.

Prior to joining Alcoa, Myers was a product design engineer for Ford Motor Company in Detroit.

He received both a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (1988) and an MBA degree (1994) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Douglas T. Dietrich

Doug Dietrich joined Alcoa in 2000 as manager, eBusiness Development in the New York office, primarily responsible for developing and implementing an eBusiness strategy for Alcoa's automotive market customers. Two years later he became manager, Business Development and Strategic Global Sourcing accountable for designing and executing sourcing strategies for Alcoa's Asia and Latin America regions. Following this assignment, he was named general manager, Global Cold Finished Products, an Alcoa business with plants in the U.S., Korea and Brazil, which produces high performance aluminum alloys for several industries, including the automotive and aerospace sectors. In 2004, Dietrich was named to his most recent position as president, Latin American Extrusions and Global Cold Finished Products.

Prior to joining Alcoa, Dietrich was employed for four years by Eaton Corporation in engineering/operations management positions at Eaton's Toa Baja, Puerto Rico facility. From 1991 until 1994, Dietrich worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation in engineering and manufacturing assignments in Asheville, NC and Austin, Texas.

Dietrich graduated in 1991 with a BS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and obtained an MBA degree in 2000 from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
