Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick Headlines Auto Show Luncheon
Mayor to Deliver First Public Speech Since Inaugural Celebrations; Detroit News Unveiling Picks for Best Concept Car Awards
DETROIT, Jan. 10 -- The Detroit Economic Club (DEC) will host Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at 12 p.m. at Cobo Center, One Washington Blvd. in Detroit.
Delivering his first public speech since his inaugural celebrations, Kilpatrick will address more than 500 DEC members and guests during this annual auto show celebration, which is co-hosted by North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
Additionally, The Detroit News will unveil their 2006 Concept Car Reader's Choice awards. There will be no press gathering before or after the program.
DEC was formed in 1934 as a platform for the discussion and debate of important business, government and social issues. It is known nationwide as a top speaking forum for prominent business and government leaders, who address members and their guests at the Club's 35 meetings a season.
