Cobasys to Provide Battery Systems for Saturn VUE Green Line Hybrid SUV
ORION, Mich., Jan. 9, 2006 -- Cobasys announced today that they will provide their advanced NiMHax(R) Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery systems for GM's 2007 Saturn VUE Green Line SUV which will be made available to consumers in the summer of 2006.
Saturn's VUE Green Line hybrid combines sophisticated controls with a precise electric motor/generator mated to the engine and battery system.
The Saturn VUE's hybrid system provides: an electric power assist during acceleration; increased fuel economy through engine shut-off at idle; fuel cut-off during deceleration; and the capability to capture electrical energy through regenerative braking.
