EyesOn Design' Competition Benefits the Visually Impaired

PARIS & AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--Jan. 6, 2006--Dassault Systemes (DS) (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA)(BOURSE:DSY), the world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), today announced that it will co-sponsor the 'EyesOn Design' competition to be held at the 2006 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 10, 2006. EyesOn Design is a Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO) fundraising event, which honors and recognizes the most significant automotive designs on display at the auto show. Internationally renowned designers from the automotive, consumer and industrial design communities will judge the show's extensive display of innovative production and concept vehicles.

Dassault Systemes will be the sole sponsor of one of the awards at the event, the DIO Award for Design Excellence - Aesthetics and Innovation, which focuses on overall design merit and execution and can encompass any category of vehicle design.
