The N.I.C.E. P200 is a unique and innovative media player that can store and playback a number of video and audio formats from its 20GB hard drive on a 4 inch LCD screen, but is also a highly sophisticated navigation system with built in GPS capability.
As a DivX Certified device, the Clarion N.I.C.E. P200 offers playback of all versions of the hugely popular DivX video format, including secure premium titles from DivX content partners. DivX has become one of the most popular video technologies in the world by enabling the creation and distribution of DVD and High Definition quality video at a file size small enough to be easily transferred among an entire ecosystem of devices and platforms.
"We are very excited to offer such a cool and leading technology feature like DivX in our first true portable navigation and multimedia product," said Ralph Dominquez, Senior Product Planning Manager of Clarion Corporation. "We hope to offer DivX as a playable media feature on other future products from Clarion."
"The Clarion device is an extremely innovative device that allows users to truly extend their digital media experience beyond the living room by taking their video content with them on the road," said Bill Holmes, vice president of consumer electronics at DivX, Inc. "By offering portability and interoperability that doesn't sacrifice the great visual quality consumers expect from digital video, DivX technology is perfect for the in-car market."
Products that bear the DivX Certified logo have undergone a rigorous testing program to ensure interoperability, security and visual quality. DivX Certified products enable consumers to create, play and share high-quality video content across a range of devices and platforms.
