Ringers Racers at Chili Bowl

DRIVERS LOOKING FOR HOT CHILI IN COLD WEATHER
Numerous Ringers Racers Heading to Chili Bowl

Moorpark, Calif. - (January 5, 2006) Since 1987, Lanny Edwards, Emmett
Hahn and crew put on the annual January midget race known as the Chili Bowl at
Tulsa Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla. In 2005, the largest car count in Chili
Bowl history was recorded…2006 looks to be no different as the car count tops
the previous year’s and a slew of Ringers racers from all forms of motorsports
look to tame the quarter-mile clay oval inside the Expo Center.
NHRA Top Fuel dragster driver Morgan Lucas looks to make his first Chili
Bowl driving the Kuhn Motorsports No. 15k entry. Lucas, 22, brought home a fifth
place in the Top Fuel championship in 2005, while his first career win still
eludes him.
Fellow NHRA straightliner Cruz Pedregon raced his first Chili Bowl in 2005
as driver and car owner. This year, Pedregon will again race, but he is
fielding a second car for All-Star Circuit of Champions champion Chad Kemenah.
While Cruz’s brother, Frank, pilots Mike Sala owned No. 79 entry.
2005 MARA midget champion Donnie Lehmann returns to Tulsa with his infamous
five-car team based out of Springfield, Ill. This year, Team Lehmann drivers
include, Lehmann himself; Daniel Adler, Missouri sprint car and midget
racer; World of Outlaws (sprint car) Mean 15 member, Justin Henderson; NASCAR
Busch Series driver, Damon Lusk and Joe Walker from the Thunder Valley Sprint
Series.
Former midget stars turned NASCAR drivers Tracy Hines, Jason Leffler and
J.J. Yeley return to their roots at Chili Bowl. Hines is the reigning Chili Bowl
 champion.
Other Ringers racers on the entry list include late model, midget and sprint
car drivers, Justin Allgaier (ARCA, NASCAR Craftsman Trucks, midgets, late
models), Chad Deselle (midgets), World of Outlaws Late Model Champion Steve
Francis, Bud Kaeding (USAC), Keith Kunz Motorsports (USAC), Tim McCreadie (dirt
late models), Josh Richards (dirt late models), Casey Shuman (USAC), Darren
Stewart (sprint cars), Jeep Van Wormer (dirt late models) and Brandon Waelti
