JVC to Establish JVC Mobile Company of America
New company will be responsible for U.S. sales and marketing of JVC mobile entertainment products.
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5 -- JVC Americas Corp. today announced plans to establish a new company to oversee the sales and marketing of its mobile entertainment products in the United States. The new company, JVC Mobile Company of America (JMCA), will be a division of JVC Americas Corp.
Effective April 1, 2006, JMCA will assume responsibility for the JVC line of mobile entertainment products, taking over from JVC Company of America, which will continue to market JVC's line of consumer home and portable audio and video products. The new company will be based in Cypress, CA, where JVC has an existing sales office.
Heading JMCA as President will be Shinichi (Sean) Takada, formerly General Manager, Overseas Sales and Marketing Division, Mobile Entertainment for Victor Company of Japan (JVC), Ltd.
"The formation of JVC Mobile Company of America reflects the distinctive nature of the U.S. mobile electronics business as compared to other consumer electronics product categories," said Shigeharu Tsuchitani, Chairman, JVC Americas Corp. "With a management team focused solely on the car entertainment market, JVC will be able to enhance support for our dealer network and be better positioned to continue our strong growth in the category."
Other JMCA personnel will include Chad Vogelsong, General Manager, Marketing, formerly Marketing Manager for JVC Company of America.
