ZAP Showcases Energy-Efficient Vehicles at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, January 6-15

LOS ANGELES--Jan. 5, 2006--Transportation pioneer ZAP (PCX:ZP) will be showcasing an array of fuel efficient vehicles at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, January 6-15 at Los Angeles Convention Center, Booth Number: K-830, including fuel-efficient cars, all-terrain vehicles, scooters and a new all-electric vehicle called the XEBRA(TM).

With the idea of saving gas on everyone's mind these days, ZAP is pushing to expand it business to the automotive market, introducing its new XEBRA(TM), one of the world's only production all-electric cars. Unlike the hybrids currently on the market in the U.S., the ZAP car needs no gas at all -- just plug into any conventional outlet.

ZAP is also showing a fuel-efficient gasoline automobile called the Smart Car Americanized by ZAP. ZAP is organizing a dealer network that caters to fuel-efficient car buyers by manufacturing and distributing cars that utilize advances in automotive technology making them more fuel-efficient and friendlier to the environment. ZAP is working independently to make the Smart Car from Europe available in the U.S., but is also in talks to form other business ventures to import, manufacture and distribute other automobiles. The Company recently signed an agreement to import a Brazilian automobile in 2007.

ZAP is also showcasing its new electric all-terrain vehicles (ATVs, or ATZ as ZAP calls them). Electric ATVs are catching on as an alternative to gasoline powered ones because they help save gas, work well in indoor environments, are quiet, and easy to maintain.

Visitors to ZAP's booth can also get great deals on ZAP's famous line of electric scooters. ZAP has a new three-wheeled electric scooter called the ZAPPY3 that is much more stable than two-wheeled models, making it easier for beginners and much more maneuverable for advanced riders. The peppy ZAPPY XPRESS is also available and ZAP will be taking orders on-site.

In addition to costing a few pennies per mile in electricity, electric cars are quiet, low-maintenance, and can help reduce smog. According to the California Air Resources Board, electric cars reduce automotive emissions by more than 90 percent, including the emissions from electric power plants. ZAP is also showcasing a range of different advanced technology vehicles, from fun electric scooters and ATVs to full-sized automobiles. Stop by the ZAP Booth, number K-830 for a free "test-zap."
