Thule's 2006 New Years Resolution: Lifetime Warranty on all Thule Car Rack Systems
SEYMOUR, Conn., Jan. 3, 2006 -- As a result of increased quality standards, performance testing and consumer satisfaction, Thule Inc., world leader in sports utility transportation, is ringing in the new year with a limited lifetime warranty for all Thule products purchased in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, effective January 1, 2006.
"Thule users expect long lasting quality from our products and our new warranty represents our confidence in our products and our commitment to standing behind them," said Fred Clark, President, Thule Inc.
Under the limited lifetime warranty, Thule will warranty all Thule brand car rack systems and its accessories manufactured by Thule during the time that an original purchaser owns the product. Thule will remedy defects in materials or workmanship by repairing or replacing, at its option, a defective product without charge for parts or labor.
"Our stringent testing methods ensure the quality and integrity of our products, and as a result we feel that we have the highest quality products available in terms of function, safety, and longevity," said Vin Bove, VP Operations, Thule Inc.
All Thule products are put through rigorous testing before they enter the market. Thule conducts numerous dynamic driving tests which include swerve and impulse breaking, that surpass the requirements of the German DIN standards. In its labs Thule conducts corrosion and chemical tests along with multiple torque and extreme temperature tests to simulate real world situations. Previously Thule had offered an industry leading five year limited warranty.
Thule Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary within the Thule Group. It is the leading US manufacturer of car rack products, with production sites in Seymour, Connecticut and Chicago, Illinois.
