November 2005 Japan Auto Production Rises 3.9%

TOKYO December 28, 2005; Japan Today reported that production of cars, trucks and buses in Japan in November rose 3.9% from a year earlier to 962,378 vehicles for the first rise in two months, while auto exports edged up 0.5% to 445,607, extending a rising streak to four months, an industry body said Tuesday.

Car output increased 5.3% to 807,758 for the first rise in two months with truck output coming to 147,938, down 4.1% and the first fall in two months, according to the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.
