Toyota Announces New Assignments For North American Executives

New York, NY 12/22/2005; Toyota announced today new assignments for senior level managers at Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (TMA).

Headquartered in New York, TMA has offices in Washington, D.C. and Miami, Florida, and is the holding company for Toyota's U.S. sales and North American manufacturing companies.

"As Toyota continues to invest in our North American operations, we rely on the expertise of our executive team," said Hideaki "Harry" Otaka, President and CEO of TMA. "Today's announcement will help ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our customers in this important market."

The new assignments are as follows:

Dennis Cuneo, Senior Vice President, will oversee the Administrative, Planning & Research groups (New York) as well the Latin American Research and Customer Service group (Miami). This is in addition to Mr. Cuneo's current responsibilities for External Affairs (New York) and Government Affairs (Washington).

Alan Cohen, Vice President, Corporate Communications, will assume responsibility for TMA's Executive Office as Assistant to the President (New York), in addition to his current responsibilities.

Tom Stricker is promoted to Corporate Manager, Environment, in the Trade and Regulatory group (Washington).

Steve Curtis is promoted to National Manager, Investor and Media Relations (New York).

Zack Henry is promoted to Manager in the Latin America Research group.

Chris Mullen is promoted to Manager, Safety, in the Trade and Regulatory group (Washington).

Yuri Unno is promoted to Manager in the Government Affairs group (Washington).
