SAAB AB Renews Framework Agreement with Semcon Until 2007
STOCKHOLM, Sweden--Dec. 2, 20053, 2005--Semcon's (STO:SEMC) framework agreement as preferred supplier to SAAB has been extended for a further two years. It now includes in the first instance project management, mechanical construction, calculations and electronic construction. The agreement applies for all companies in the SAAB Group and currently covers 25 consultants on an annual basis."Semcon has had a close partnership with Saab for 20 years. We have mainly supplied competence in construction and calculations. Being entrusted to carry on our partnership and also increasing our services is confirmation for us that our overall range in product development is attractive," says Goran Westberg, sector manager for Semcon's business area Industry. "We have also received a positive reaction from Saab who think it's a strong advantage that we have local offices near their development centres."
Concentration on the aerospace industry
Besides Saab Semcon also cooperates with other players in the aerospace industry: Volvo Aero, Airbus, Rolls Royce and Boeing.
