Consumer Guides Acquires Auto Guide Milwaukee
NEW YORK--Dec. 22, 2005--PRIMEDIA's Consumer Guides, the country's leading publisher and distributor of free apartment, new home and auto guides, today announced the expansion of its Auto Guide business with the acquisition of Auto Guide Milwaukee from Keychain Publications, Inc. With the addition of Auto Guide Milwaukee, a leading weekly classified used car magazine for dealers in the southeastern Wisconsin area, and its online property, www.autoguidemilwaukee.com, Auto Guide enters the attractive Milwaukee auto market and gains the expertise of industry veteran Gregg Owen to further elevate the Guides business. Financial terms were not disclosed.Through the national build out of its Auto Guide business, Consumer Guides continues to expand its position in the $8.5 billion automotive advertising market. This national expansion capitalizes on the operating experience, financial success and reach of its proven Consumer Guides business and its wholly-owned distribution arm, DistribuTech, which distributes free publications in more than 49,000 locations across the nation and on more racks at retail than all competitors combined.

Recently, the company launched Auto Guides in the Inland Empire, South Florida, San Diego and Triangle, NC markets, and expanded its reach in New England with the addition of five auto guide publications. These launches follow a successful string of Auto Guides launched in 2004, including the launch of the Charlotte Auto Guide, which debuted in the Charlotte, NC market in March of 2004.
