DIRT MotorSports Announces World of Outlaws Tradition Grows with 2006 Event at Washington's Skagit Speedway

NORMAN, Okla.--Dec. 2, 20051, 2005--For the past 12 years, DIRT MotorSports(TM) (DIRT) (OTCBB:DMSP) World of Outlaws(R) Sprint Car Series has raced its way through the Pacific Northwest in late August. That tradition will continue in 2006 as the greatest collection of sprint car drivers in the world will have a homecoming at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash.

DIRT MotorSports, in conjunction with Funtime Promotions, announced the return of the World of Outlaws to its original home track in the Northwest for a two-night, $25,000-to-win event August 25-26. From "pasture racing" in the early 1950s to a trend-setting complex in the new millennium, with seating for 10,000 fans Skagit Speedway is a first-class racing facility that also is host of the Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup, one of sprint car racing's richest events with a $135,000 purse.

"Skagit is the anchor of the Northwest swing for the Outlaws," said Paul A. Kruger, DIRT Chairman and CEO. "And we are excited to be working with Steve Beitler who is a respected promoter as well as owner of this premier family-oriented facility."

Steve Beitler, Skagit's owner and promoter as well as a long-time World of Outlaws competitor who was honored in 1992 by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame's North America Sprint Car Poll for his Outstanding Contribution to the sport, has worked hard to bring the Outlaws back to the 3/10-mile high-banked oval. The track was part of the inaugural Outlaws season in 1978 and Beitler is thrilled to see his efforts pay off at a facility that supports 410 sprint cars on a weekly basis.

"With the caliber of race teams in the area, this will be a competitive homecoming for the World of Outlaws Sprint Series," said DIRT MotorSports VP of Race Operations Shane Carson. "The late Jim Raper truly had a vision and Steve Beitler has continued to build on that."

"The World of Outlaws has always been special to me," Beitler said. "Having raced with them full-time for more than six years, and now promoting an event for them, that's quite an honor. I appreciate the effort put forth by the teams following this series. I wanted to make this event special, so I put up $25,000 to win. That'll definitely make it interesting."

"After meeting with Dirt MotorSports last summer, I was very impressed with their business plan, and hiring Shane Carson was the best thing they could do. He has a solid reputation as a driver, promoter and businessman.

"The fans and racers of Skagit Speedway deserve to have the World of Outlaws at their home track. I am looking forward to a long and successful relationship."
