Bobby Likis Hits the Road to the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show
Bobby Likis to Moderate CES 'Connect2Car' Supersession and Broadcast Live from the Floor
PENSACOLA, Fla., Dec. 21 -- New Year...Newer Mobile Toys...Newest Inside Track. Bobby Likis will be moderator of both the morning and afternoon rounds of CES Supersession "Connect2Cars" (C2C) at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, room N260 on January 6, from 9:30 am-3:30 pm. During these lively discussions, panelists from industry pacesetters will define demand for mobile electronics and their companies' strategies for feeding the ever-expanding consumer appetite.
Consumer appetite is a weekly revelation for Likis on "Bobby Likis Car Clinic," broadcast on traditional radio, Sirius satellite radio and the Internet. "Callers from across the country tell me of their need for 'gadgets on the go' during Car Clinic," shares Likis. "What's clear to me from the grassroots feedback I receive directly from end users is that the competition is keen among and within 'mobileLectronics' providers and automakers not only for specific e-widgets, but also for the connectivity architecture. Who will reign supreme in the 'Battle at the Dashboard?' Will e-mobile consumers be satisfied with what automakers deliver; will they want to plug-and-play their own choices; or will they want to go plugless and play with wireless gadgets? Those questions are at the core of the C2C Supersession."
Hashing out the answers will be panelists Joe Averkamp (Director of Product Strategy, Sprint-Nextel), Bob Borchers (Senior Director, iPod Automobile Integration, Apple), Roger Dewey (Vice President, Business & Product Strategy, M2M Com, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications), Ron Freeman (Chief Operations Officer, AAMP of America), Jim Geschke (Vice President & General Manager, Electronics & Business Development, Johnson Controls Inc.), John Schneider (Chief Engineer of Cockpit Electronics for Ford Motor Company), Martin Thall (Automotive Business Unit, Microsoft), and Stephen Witt (Vice President, Brand Marketing and Communications, Alpine Electronics).
As the keynote lunch speaker, Mark Rosenker (Acting Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board) will refocus the Supersession on the issue of driver distraction surrounding mobile electronics.
In addition to the C2C forum, Likis will again bring the excitement of the CES floor to the ears and eyes of consumers nationwide, broadcasting "Car Clinic" live on Saturday, January 7 from the North Hall, N1, Section C, Booth 136. Likis will chat with more key insiders of the mobile electronics world as they present their wired or wireless e-wares.
