PowerLinx Expands Transportation Division Strategy with ``Zone Defense'' Branded Products

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--Dec. 2, 20050, 2005--PowerLinx, Inc. (OTCBB:PWLX), today officially announced "Zone Defense" as the brand name for its line of accident avoidance products. "Zone Defense" systems are targeted at the transportation industry as a whole including RVs, tractor trailers, light trucks and utility vehicles. These products enhance a vehicle operator's ability to see and avoid possible hazards in the blind zones using cameras mounted strategically on the vehicle.

The PowerLinx decision to adopt a comprehensive line of rear vision and obstacle detection products solidifies the Company's plan for becoming a full-line supplier to multiple segments of the transportation industry. "Zone Defense" is now able to market to all vehicles types, configurations and pricing points; from single black and white video camera systems to color multi-camera video systems with sound and other enhancements available to customers.

PowerLinx plans to continue the expansion of its lines to include other technologies for a further opportunity to offer our products to all of the accident avoidance markets.

PowerLinx Vice-President and General Manager of the Transportation Division, James Markus, said: "We believe PowerLinx needs to be able to compete in all areas of the vehicle accident-avoidance market. We recognize there is value in a brand name which is descriptive of our transportation product's key benefit. In addition, there is a greater revenue opportunity in offering a lineup of products and services that can be tailored to the various accident avoidance zones around a vehicle. We feel "Zone Defense" will be meaningful to our customers and prospects from both standpoints."

PowerLinx has experienced substantial growth in the Transportation Products Segment during its 2005 fiscal year ending December 31st. Net revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 2005 increased 102% compared to the same period ended in 2004.
