Toni Melfi leaving DaimlerChrysler AG

Stuttgart, Dec 19, 2005 Toni Melfi (39), Director of Corporate Communications and deputy of Hartmut Schick, Senior Vice President Communications, will be leaving DaimlerChrysler AG on December 31, 2005, at his own request. A journalist by profession, Melfi was responsible in his last position at the Group for communication work on behalf of the Chairman as well as the Board of Management members for Corporate Development and China, as well as Technology and Research. He was also in charge of Chrysler Group corporate communications in Germany and the rest of Europe. He will be devoting himself to new professional challenges in the future.

Melfi joined DaimlerChrysler AG in September 2001 as head of the Automotive Business Affairs department at Communications.
