Marketing Associates Agrees to Represent Sense Technologies' ScopeOut(R) to Mass Merchandise Retailers
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. & CHANDLER, Ariz.--Dec. 1, 20055, 2005--Richard Julien, president of Arizona-based Marketing Associates, has agreed to introduce ScopeOut(R) to national mass merchandise retailers for Sense Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: SNSG). ScopeOut(R) is a newly developed automotive safety product designed to prevent accidents resulting from vehicle blind zones. Currently, the product is being sold regionally in Arizona at Ace Hardware and Fry's Marketplace stores. With sales offices in Chandler, Ariz., the company is planning a national product roll-out in 2006. Marketing Associates will be representing ScopeOut(R) to national chains, key accounts and mass merchandise retailers, and selected brokers and distributors.ScopeOut(R) consists of a patented system of aerodynamic mirrors that are strategically placed on passenger vehicles to enhance rear visibility. Targeted to a wide segment of drivers, ScopeOut(R) helps car, minivan and SUV owners more easily see children, traffic, or even pets, approaching toward the rear of a vehicle from down the street or sidewalk. ScopeOut(R) is available in two models -- one for cars and one designed to fit SUVs, minivans, station wagons or hatchbacks. Either model can be installed on a wide variety of vehicles in minutes, using only the equipment supplied in the box. The product retails for under $100.
Marketing Associates, a national retail marketing firm with offices in Carefree, Ariz., and Bentonville, Ark., has earned a reputation for successfully launching unique products in leading mass merchandise retailers. The company supports each product's introduction through comprehensive strategic brand positioning. Marketing Associates first earned distinction more than 20 years ago when it became an industry innovator as one of the first national rep organizations to expand beyond regional territories, an uncommon practice at the time. By launching successful and dynamic in-store programs for products in the electronics, household goods, HBC, and general merchandise categories over the past 20 years, the company has earned a reputation for strength, creativity and strong ties with leading decision-makers.
"Dick Julien has an outstanding reputation within the retail community, and has developed an extensive field network to support the products they represent. We believe Marketing Associates is an excellent partner to help launch ScopeOut(R) nationally, and we're excited about the favorable impact they will have in shaping our positioning with national retailers," said Lowell Martinson, vice president of operations for Sense Technologies Inc.
Julien said, "ScopeOut(R) is an affordable step to safety that all retailers can offer their customers. With drivers awakening to the dangers of blind zones -- either through first-hand experience or the media -- we believe ScopeOut(R) has the potential in 2006 to be one of the most innovative and sought-after inventions available at retail."
