Waste Management, Inc. to Donate Famous 'Tonight Show' Celebrity Charity Motorcycle to Bush Clinton Katrina Fund

Waste Management to 'Pay-It-Forward' This Holiday Season; Avid Car Collector John O'Quinn to Start Bidding at $1 Million

HOUSTON, Dec. 7 -- In February 2005, Waste Management Inc. and its employees responded to the devastating Tsunami in Southeast Asia by making a difference in a unique way. As the highest eBay bidder for the celebrity-autographed Harley-Davidson motorcycle from "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, Waste Management donated more than $800,000 for charity.

Today, Kruse International announced that Waste Management, the Houston- based, industry-leading provider of comprehensive waste management, recycling and environmental services, will use the celebrity-autographed Harley-Davidson to help raise funds for those in need. The motorcycle will be auctioned to the highest bidder at noon on Saturday, December 10. The proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund for hurricane survivor relief.

This Harley-Davidson motorcycle is signed by some of the nation's most famous people including Presidents George H.W. Bush and William J. Clinton, and other famous celebrities like Donald Trump, Nicole Kidman, Bill Cosby, Jamie Foxx, Demi Moore, Tim Robbins, Ashlee Simpson, Jimmy Buffet, Denzel Washington and future baseball Hall of Famer Roger Clemens of the Houston Astros.

Well-known Houston attorney and philanthropist John O'Quinn will open the bidding at $1 million this Saturday. The avid car collector owns more than 600 cars and motorcycles including the original Batmobile.

"As a son of New Orleans, I have personally seen first-hand the need of those affected by the tragedy of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita," says David Steiner, CEO, Waste Management, Inc. "As a company, we are excited to find another great way to give back to the communities where our employees and customers live and work. It's great to see the Harley 'pay it forward' to help once again."

The auction begins at noon on Friday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. and will continue through Sunday, January 11. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Call Kruse International at 800-968-4444 or visit http://www.kruse.com/ for more information.
