Jim Liberatore Joins RacingJunk.com as Chairman of the Board
Former PEE President Adds His Vision to Popular Performance Website
NORTH ADAMS, Mass., Dec. 6 -- Massachusetts-based RacingJunk.com, the No. 1 website destination for performance and racing enthusiasts, has named former SPEED channel president Jim Liberatore as its new chairman of the board.
Liberatore, who spent four years with SPEED, helped grow the national car and motorcycle lifestyle cable network from 39 million viewers in 2001 to more than 64 million at the beginning of this year. Prior to that, Liberatore served as vice president and general manager of Florida's Sunshine Network. The Florida resident will now be bringing his industry knowledge and entertainment experience to RacingJunk.com's growing high-performance online community.

Alvarez outlined a portion of what lies ahead, "We're headed in a variety of directions. We will be adding video ads in December, where members will visually demonstrate the cars or parts they are trying to sell. Also in the near future, RacingJunk.com members will be able to watch their favorite form of racing on their computer screen. With broadband's increasing penetration, we can now do a number of things unthinkable just two years ago.
"There's also going to be a lot more interactivity because we are launching information pages for each individual member," Alvarez continued.
