Thor Receives Record $301 Million in Orders, up 22% from Last Year. Obtains 355 Dealers; November Retail RV Sales Strong

JACKSON CENTER, Ohio, Dec. 6, 2005 -- Thor Industries, Inc. , the largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles and mid-size buses, announced today that it received a record $301 million in orders at the Louisville Recreation Vehicle Show last week, an increase of 22% over last year's record $247 million. We expect to receive additional orders from the Show this week. Thor increased its North American distribution network with the addition of 355 dealers compared to 275 new dealers last year.

In November, Thor's retail RV sales were 5,463 units, up 12% from last year and were 87,349 units for the 11 months, up 14%. "The strong retail sales, the record order input from the Show, and record company order backlog of $473 million on October 31, 2005 bodes well for a continuing strong fiscal 2006," said Wade F. B. Thompson, Thor Chairman.
