Bombardier Aerospace Promotes Industry-Leading Aircraft at Lima 2005

LANGKAWI, Malaysia--Dec. 5, 2005--Bombardier Aerospace is participating with three of its industry-leading aircraft at the eighth biennial Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2005) at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) from December 6-11.

In the show's static display, Bombardier Aerospace will showcase its premium light Learjet 40XR, its midsize Special Edition Learjet 60 and its widebody Challenger 604 business jets. In addition, the company will also be promoting its new Bombardier 415MP maritime surveillance amphibious aircraft through a virtual reality presentation of the aircraft. Guests will be able to "visit" the aircraft virtually and view the state-of-the-art electronics that have been fitted on the maritime surveillance variant of the legendary Bombardier 415MP amphibious aircraft.

"Bombardier Aerospace spearheaded the growth of business aviation across Asia-Pacific with 95 Bombardier business aircraft based in the region," said David Dixon, Regional Vice-President, Sales, Asia-Pacific, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "We continue to set the pace in the region as Asian customers demonstrate a strong and growing interest in our entire line of innovative business jets."

With a 30 per cent overall market share in Asia Pacific and an exceptional track record for introducing new business aircraft delivering superior performance and value, Bombardier is the undisputed leader in the region.

"We are proud to be the main supplier of aircraft to regional airlines throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with 207 of our Q-Series turboprops and CRJ regional jets in service with, or ordered by, 36 operators in 14 countries," said James Dailly, Vice-President, International Sales, Bombardier Regional Aircraft. "These operators recognize that our regional jet and turboprop aircraft families offer an unbeatable combination of efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort, together with the lowest operating costs in their class."

The 70-passenger Bombardier Q400 turboprop, 70-passenger CRJ700 and 86-passenger CRJ900 regional jets are leading in the growing market for larger regional aircraft. Their strong commonality with other Bombardier regional jets and turboprops results in a seamless entry into fleets and significant cost savings in crewing, maintenance and spare parts.

LIMA 2005 is a recognized platform for aerospace manufacturers and related industries to display and promote the latest aerospace technology to senior Government officials, both civil and military, and leaders of industries from Malaysia and the entire Asia-Pacific region.

Bombardier Aerospace representatives will be available at the Bombardier Chalet No SS 8-9-10 or at the Bombardier Aerospace booth number C37.
