Toyota demonstrates production line for Ractis vehicles
NAGOYA December 3, 2005; Japan Today Reported that Toyota Motor Corp on Friday invited the media to see the production line for its Ractis compact passenger car, a vehicle that can be adapted for use by the disabled and the elderly.
The production line at Toyota's Takaoka factory in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, is designed to manufacture both regular Ractis models and those equipped with features for wheelchair users. The idea is to cut the cost of producing such cars to make them more affordable, Toyota officials said.
