Bosch's Vogt Chairs OESA Foreign Subsidiaries Council
TROY, Mich., Dec. 2, 2005 -- Neil De Koker, president of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), recently announced that Sylvia B. Vogt, vice president, corporate affairs Americas, Robert Bosch Corporation, was elected as chairperson of the OESA Foreign Subsidiaries Council for the 2005-2006 term. In this role, Vogt will be responsible for overseeing the direction of council activities, as well as updating OESA management on the status of the council.

At Bosch, Vogt is responsible for strategic planning and regional reporting, select cross-divisional and cross-regional projects, communications and public image management for the Americas region. She also is responsible for corporate communications, government and community relations and charitable contributions in North America. Vogt has been with Bosch since 1994 in various legal counsel and contract management positions with assignments in Stuttgart, Germany; Broadview, Illinois; and Farmington Hills, Mich. Vogt earned both her undergraduate and master's degrees in law from the University of Cologne, Germany.
In response to member interest, OESA established the Foreign Subsidiaries Council in 2004 to provide value to OESA member companies with parent companies located outside North America. In 2005, the council addressed issues including: government relations for companies based outside North America, effective global customer-facing strategies, expatriate executive challenges and executive compensation at U.S. subsidiaries.
