Afton Chemical Launches New Lubricity Additive

RICHMOND, Va.--Dec. 1, 2005--Afton Chemical Corporation has announced the launch of its newest product, HiTEC(R) 4142 Lubricity Additive, for diesel fuel applications. As a cost effective solution, this recent upgrade to Afton Chemical's diesel fuel additive line delivers maximum performance with a minimum additive dosage. It is designed specifically to improve the lubricity of ultra low sulfur diesel fuels. The additive's low sulfur content also helps fuel marketers and suppliers meet EPA regulations.

According to Tara Sharrer, Marketing Manager-Fuel Additives, "We are introducing this product to provide our customers with a cost effective solution to ASTM D-975 compliance. In addition, the excellent low temperature handling capability of HiTEC(R) 4142 allows customers to simplify their inventory with the need for only one product to perform in both hot and cold climates."

Along with the testing done to establish the products efficacy, Afton Chemical has run extensive testing to show no-harm performance in critical lube and fuel interactions.

The new lubricity additive will be available through Afton Chemical's exclusive X-Change(TM) program.
