November Results Push Acura Sales Closer to New All-time Record for the Year

TL Posts Record Sales

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 1 -- Strong demand for the TL performance luxury sedan pushed Acura November sales to 13,882 units based on the daily selling rate, the division announced today. Acura year-to-date sales of 190,989 rose 7.2 percent versus 2004.

The TL performance luxury sedan set a November record, up 0.9 percent compared to 2004. TL sales of 6,134 surpassed the previous November record of 5,839 vehicles set last year. Year-to-date TL sales reached 70,943 units, up 0.7 percent. Despite limited availability, TSX sports sedan sales remained strong, with November results of 1,274 units, pushing year-to-date sales to 31,833, up 16.8 percent.

"We are right on track to shatter the previous all-time sales record for Acura, " said Dick Colliver, executive vice president, sales. "We are looking forward to a strong close next month."

The RSX sports coupe posted monthly sales of 1,521 units, up 9.1 percent compared to 2004. Year-to-date RSX sales reached 19,296 units.

Monthly percentages are based on 25 selling days for this month versus 24 days for last November. Annual sales percentages are based on 280 selling days year-to-date versus 281 for 2004.
