GreenFuel Appoints VP of Process Development to Oversee Deployment of Its Emissions-to-Biofuels System
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Nov. 2, 20059, 2005--GreenFuel Technologies Corporation, a privately held company providing emissions-to-biofuels(TM) conversion services to power plants and industrial facilities, today announced that it has appointed John (Jack) Lewnard, PhD, to the position of Vice President of Process Development.Dr. Lewnard has previously managed projects in the biotechnology, fuel production, and electricity production sectors. In his most recent post at Millipore Corporation, Dr. Lewnard introduced several new membrane characterization techniques, including a more sensitive integrity test in patent review. While at Air Products and Chemicals, he was R&D manager for the Environmental Energy Systems Division, responsible for waste-to-energy, landfill gas, utility scrubbers, and advanced power generation technology evaluation. He was the technical lead for several large-scale projects involving black liquor gasification, second-generation pressurized fluid bed combustion, and first-of-a-kind projects in hydrogen purification. Dr. Lewnard holds five U.S. patents, with related international filings, and has an extensive professional publication and speaking record.
