HARRIS WRAPS UP CALIFORNIA PAVEMENT FOCUS TITLE AS MOON SHINES AT IRWINDALE

INDIANAPOLIS – In one of the tightest battles in the four-year history of
USAC Ford Focus Midget racing, Alex Harris of Simi Valley, Calif. triumphed
by 15 points over Audra Sasselli in the season finale Thursday at Irwindale
(Calif.) Speedway during the annual “Turkey Night Grand Prix.”

Having come into the event with three previous Irwindale victories in 2005
and a six-point lead over Sasselli, Harris drove his No. 54 Quality
Communities/West Valley Grinding TCR/Ford Focus to fourth place Thursday
behind winner Benny Moon to beat Sasselli and Chase Barber in a battle
separated by no more than 14 points since July.

Moon secured his third victory of the season, driving the No. 3 Ron Sutton
Winner’s Circle Stealth/Ford Focus to the 30-lap victory on the third-mile
after taking the lead from Barber on Lap 2.

Fast qualifier Casey Riggs was second, while Ricky Ehrgott, Harris and
Barber rounded out the Top 5. Sasselli was seventh.

Sasselli was second and Barber third in the final points.
