Karenann Terrell receives Women's Corporate Technology Award

Vice President and CIO Chrysler Group and Mercedes-Benz North America honored by the American Friends of the Jerusalem College of Technology

* Terrell recognized for her outstanding accomplishments * Committee: "Role model for professional women in technology"

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 23 -- DaimlerChrysler today announced that Karenann Terrell, Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) Chrysler Group and Mercedes-Benz North America, will be honored with this year's Women's Corporate Technology Award. The award is conferred annually by the American Friends of the Jerusalem College of Technology in association with Women in Technology International (WITI). The award dinner will be held in New York on November 30.

According to the award's committee, Karenann Terrell will receive this year's Women's Corporate Technology Award "for her outstanding accomplishments in the Information Technology industry and her strong support for WITI and its service to professional women in technology." Her personal career could serve as a role model to other women and give them an example of how to be successful in the corporate world, the committee added.

"DaimlerChrysler's Information Technology department is proud of its own diverse leadership team, in which Karenann plays a significant role."

Karenann Terrell has been Vice President and CIO Chrysler Group and Mercedes-Benz NAFTA since January 2005. In this position, she is responsible for all aspects of IT management in North America including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing and After sales, Human Resources, Finance and Communications. Terrell reports directly to Sue Unger, Senior Vice President and CIO, DaimlerChrysler AG.

About the Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT)

The JCT is one of Israel's accredited schools of Engineering, and the only one in Jerusalem. JCT graduates over 10 percent of Israel's high-tech engineers and 60 percent of its electro-optical engineers. To accommodate women who wish to study engineering, JCT established Machon Tal, the Women's School of Engineering in 1999.
