Johnson Controls Appoints Charles Baker Vice President and General Manager of Engineering
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Nov. 22, 2005 -- Charles Baker recently joined automotive interior supplier Johnson Controls and was appointed vice president and general manager of Engineering - North America for the firm's interior experience business.
In this role, he is responsible for leading the engineering function for the North American region. He will be based at the company's Plymouth, Michigan technical center.
Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Baker was a vice president for Honda R&D Americas in Raymond, Ohio. His prior work experience also includes engineering leadership positions at Saturn Corporation; Gantron Corporation; and the Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors.
Baker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute.
