Hitachi Automotive and Tokico Relocate O/E Service Parts and Aftermarket Sales, Distribution, and Warehouse Functions to Compton, CA
TORRANCE, Calif.--Nov. 2, 20052, 2005--Hank Ide, executive vice president and general manager, Hitachi Automotive (USA), Inc.- Los Angeles Plant, today announced that Hitachi will consolidate its original-equipment-service parts and aftermarket sales offices, distribution, and warehouse operations for automotive service parts products in Torrance with Tokico (USA) Inc.'s Rancho Dominguez facility. The firms will relocate their operations to 550 West Artesia Blvd., Compton, California effective November 28, 2005. Hitachi will maintain its manufacturing and administrative headquarters facility in Torrance. The relocation is part of the merger between Hitachi, Ltd, Automotive Systems, TOKICO, Ltd, and Hitachi Unisia Automotive, Ltd. which took effective on October 1, 2004, in Tokyo.Hitachi Automotive Products (USA), Inc.- Los Angeles Plant, a subsidiary of Hitachi America, Ltd., distributes and remanufactures electrical and electronic automotive components and service parts such as alternators, starters, engine control units, and mass airflow sensors for major OEM, industrial, and high performance aftermarket customers.
