Mitrix Provides Kawasaki With New 3.1 On Demand Supply Chain Management Solution

New Version of SCM Live Improves Dealer Commitments and Synchronizes Kawasaki's Distribution Network

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 22 -- Mitrix, Inc., an On Demand supply chain management (SCM) solutions provider, and a subsidiary of global trading company Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. (Mitsui USA) today announced the release of its latest supply chain management solution, SCM Live 3.1, and its first customer agreement with Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (Kawasaki). Mitrix is providing Kawasaki with the enhanced solution, an Internet-based supply chain management and execution platform, which will synchronize their entire North American distribution network, enabling real time updates and instant synchronization of its production facilities, network warehouses, and Kawasaki dealers.

"With this system, Kawasaki will have visibility into the pulse of our supply chain allowing us to commit to our dealers with more certainty," said Barry Beehler, Vice President Planning & Marketing for Kawasaki. "Mitrix' new solution will help us establish a trading community in which our high volumes of supply and demand -- executed on a daily basis -- are automatically synchronized at each warehouse, dramatically improving our on-time delivery to dealers."

Because Kawasaki products are in high demand their dealers and customers need accurate delivery projections. With the SCM Live 3.1 solution, Kawasaki dealers will know more precisely when to expect deliveries, which translates to better communication and service levels to their customers.

"Kawasaki required a system that can monitor inventory levels across the entire supply chain, make production and distribution recommendations and execute orders," said Edward Lewis, President and CEO of Mitrix. "By automating Kawasaki's evaluation and execution process we have eliminated most of the manual effort previously required. The company will manage inbound supplier shipments, transfer product to the appropriate distribution centers and seamlessly communicate with related trading partner systems."

SCM Live 3.1

SCM Live 3.1 is an On Demand supply chain management and execution platform. It establishes a private trading community and enables near real-time updates and instant communication of business collaboration, execution orders and events both within a community and between multiple communities. SCM Live 3.1 assures unsurpassed supply chain synchronization, while providing complete visibility to all trading partners.

The enhanced SCM Live 3.1 solution offers a number of additional On Demand benefits, which include (but are not limited to):

-- Enhanced Planning Engine recognizes changes in the supply chain and, in real-time, re-evaluates the balance between supply and demand. Recommendations are then immediately executed directly from SCM Live.

-- Purchase Contracts and Releases, which simplify management of long-term commitments and related day-to-day activity.

-- Transfer Orders, which manage the distribution of product through the warehouse network.

-- Forecast Management provides the ability to create forecasts specific to warehouses and maintain that forecast -- allowing for quick and efficient input data.

Mitrix was developed out of Mitsui USA's need for a solution to manage the global supply chains of its individual business units. Kawasaki is the first customer outside of Mitsui USA's network to adopt the technology platform.
