Yingst Closes Out 2005 SSP Season With a Win


NEWBERRYTOWN,  PA (November 20, 2005) – The 2nd Annual Turkey 200 Enduro for 
the  Xtreme Stock Cars on Saturday, November 19 at the Susquehanna Speedway 
Park went  to David Yingst of Newmanstown, Pennyslvania.  In a very spirited 
Great American School  Bus race, Jeff Ebersole also edged out Alan Witmer and Rob 
Harkins.  In the York Haven Auto Sales Mini Van  feature, Butch Richcreek 
continued his winning streak by beating Timothy Watson  and Daryl Sipe.  This 
event brought  a close to the 2005 racing season in Central  Pennsylvania. 
The  2005 SSP Xtreme Stock Car Champion, Michael Goodwin jumped out to an 
early lead  in the 200 lap Enduro event  Thirty  nine drivers took the green 
flag.  Goodwin lead the first five laps with Yingst taking command on lap  six.  
Lap fifteen found Tom Johns  taking the lead until lap 47 where mechanical 
failure forced him to retire from  the event.   At the halfway mark Yingst 
continued to  lead.  Sam Rial led briefly on lap  136 & 137 but lap 138 put Yingst 
back into the lead.  At  the end it was Yingst winning by two laps over Gary 
Guise, tommy Slanker, Bill  Fulton and Vernon Myers. 
The Susquehanna Speedway Park  is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles 
NW on SR382 to York  Road,  then 1.3 miles south.  For more information,
