MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 17 -- XATA Corporation , the leader in onboard fleet management systems for private fleet transportation, today announced record shipments of over 8,500 onboard computer systems in its 2005 fiscal year ended September 30th, which represents a 78% increase over fiscal 2004 and a 196% increase over fiscal 2003. In addition, the company reported that for the first time, shipments of XATANET, XATA's next-generation Web-based solution, exceeded those of OpCenter, XATA's traditional software-based enterprise client/server system.
