313 Digital Forms to Address Digital Marketing and Advertising in Detroit Metro Area

ROYAL OAK, Mich.--Nov. 1, 20057, 2005--A new association has just been formed to create a new energy in the Digital Marketing and Advertising Space in the Metro Detroit Area. It's called 313 Digital. It was created to fill the gap that exists between marketing and advertising associations who focus mostly on traditional advertising and have as its goal to study and promote new and developing media.

313 Digital is a new organization that champions the development, education, and recognition of digital media as part of the marketing mix and was formed to create a new networking environment for those involved in digital media and marketing in the Metro Detroit area.

The organization will focus on the latest developments in such areas as digital media, search engines, wireless, broadband video, gaming, podcasting, ad serving and much more. Speakers from around the country will be invited to speak about the state-of-the-art in this media, and a thorough schedule is being developed for 2006.

Joe Kyriakoza, the president of 313 Digital and Partner and Digital Media Manager at Ford Motor Media, said, "We are looking for members that are involved with digital advertising and the convergence of digital with traditional advertising. We're seeking those who are interested in improving agency/client relationships in this area and have the desire to learn more about the industry and encourage and nurture future 'digital advertising stars,' and have the desire to exchange ideas and network in the digital space."

Other members of the board are from organizations such as AOL Media Networks, MSN, Washington Post Interactive, JWT, GM Planworks, PHD, Autotrader.com, Crains, Hachette Filipacchi Media and PSI Call Center.

313 Digital will hold a Kickoff Mixer from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Bastone, in Royal Oak in the party room (the basement) on Wednesday, November 23.
