Johnson Controls Elects New Corporate Officers

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 16, 2005 -- Johnson Controls, Inc. announced that Charles A. Harvey and Dr. Beda Bolzenius have been elected vice presidents and corporate officers.

Mr. Harvey is vice president of diversity and public affairs for Johnson Controls, reporting to Chairman and CEO John M. Barth. He is responsible for the company's workforce and supplier diversity initiatives, community relations efforts, and corporate social responsibility and public affairs programs, including the Johnson Controls Foundation. He joined the company in 1991 and previously held a number of human resources leadership assignments in the company's interior experience business.

Dr. Bolzenius is executive vice president and general manager Europe, South Africa and South America, for the Automotive Group. He joined the company in 2004 after an 18-year career at Robert Bosch GmbH. He reports to Keith Wandell, executive vice president and Automotive Group president.
