AT&T Extends Networking Contract with Ford
DETROIT, Nov. 16, 2005 -- AT&T today announced it has signed a contract extension with Ford Motor Co. to provide a comprehensive portfolio of voice and data networking services. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Under the contract, AT&T will provide a custom-designed bundle of services to Ford and its Hertz subsidiary, specifically high-speed data services to meet expanding application needs.
"We're happy to be continuing the long-standing relationship between Ford and AT&T," said Jerry Gerami, AT&T vice president. "Ford Motor Company requires a reliable networking services provider to carry its mission critical voice and data transmissions, and we're pleased Ford has entrusted AT&T's global network to carry its traffic effectively and efficiently."
