2006 SSP Sprint Car Winner's Prize Raised to $3500

Turkey  200 This Saturday, November 19 at SSP 
NEWBERRYTOWN, PA  (November  16, 2005)  – This Saturday afternoon, November 
19, the Susquehanna Speedway Park  will host the final racing event in Central  
Pennsylvania  for the 2005 season with the Turkey 200 XSC Enduro race.  As a 
bonus attraction, the Great  American School Buses and Mini Vans presented by 
York Haven Auto Sales will take  to the track before the 200 lap Enduro event. 
 Fans will also be given complimentary  school bus rides around the track at 
12:30  p.m.  The Enduro event will follow the  specifications for the Xtreme 
Stock Car division that ran weekly at SSP during  the 2005 season.  The purse 
payout  will be based on entry numbers and a payout can be found at the end of 
this  release.  
Pre-entry  for the event is encouraged but not mandatory.  A Pre-entry fee is 
$50.00 and must be  postmarked by Tuesday,  November 15, 2005.  All entries 
postmarked on or after November  16, 2005  will be $75.00.  Entries will be  
taken on the day of the event.  The  starting positions for the Turkey  200 will 
be aligned through a blind draw at the pit gate on the day of the  event.  As 
a special bonus, all  pre-entrants will be able to draw a second time for a 
starting position if he or  she does not like their first draw for position.  
However, the entrant must take the  second drawn spot regardless of whether or 
not it is a better starting  position.  Entry forms may be found  at

Race  procedures will be described at the mandatory driver’s meeting at 12:30 
 p.m.  In keeping with “traditional�?? Enduro  racing, the red and yellow 
flags will be used sparingly at the official’s  discretion if the track becomes 
blocked or a driver is in a precarious  position.  Each team must provide  its 
own scorer for the event.   
It  was also announced that all persons purchasing a grandstand ticket for 
October  29’s Candy Bowl, may exchange it at the ticket booth on Sunday, 
November 19 for  a ticket of equal value.  This is  not in effect for purchased pt 
passes.   
Gates open in the  pit area and grandstands open at 11:00  a.m. with racing  
beginning promptly at 1:00  p.m.  Grandstand  ticket prices are Adults (18 & 
older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children  (6-12) $4.00; and Children (5 & 
under) are free.  Pit passes for all  drivers and crew members are $20.00.  The 
raindate for the event is Sunday afternoon, November 20 with the same  time 
schedule.   
The Susquehanna Speedway Park  is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles 
NW on SR382 to York  Road,  then 1.3 miles south.  For more information,

SSP NEWS &  NOTES 
-  2006 Sprint Car Weekly Winner’s Share Upped to $3500 - The winner  of a 
25-lap sprint car feature at Susquehanna Speedway Park next season will  receive 
$3,500.  The remaining  positions will remain the same, which includes $325 
to start.  The winner's  prize is one of the tops in the United  States  for a 
weekly speedway.  In 2005, SSP  had 11 different winners in 17 sprint car 
races.  
-  2006 Event Schedule Released - The opening night of racing for the  2006 
season will be Thursday, April 13 featuring the 410 Sprint Cars, Xtreme  Stock 
Cars and Legends Cars.  The  event will be followed by the beginning of weekly 
Friday night racing on April  14 featuring the Super Sportsman, Street Stocks 
and ARDC Midgets  (wingless).  The Late Models will  open up their SSP season 
on Friday, April 21 with their first of 14 scheduled  events at SSP in 2006.

-  New Track at SSP - SSP is currently in the early planning stages  and 
preliminary building of a go kart/Quarter Midget/Bandolero Car track off  turn 2 
of the speedway.    Completion is expected for 2007. 
-  2006 SSP Rules & Specifications - The 2006 Street Stocks,  Xtreme Stock 
Cars and Late Model Rules will be released on Thursday,  December 1, 2005.  The 
rules for the Sprint Cars and Super  Sportsman will be released shortly 
thereafter.  The Legends Cars rules will be governed  by the 2006 INEX rulebook.  
The  Midget rules will be enforced by the ARDC (American Racing Drivers Club).  
The Classic Cars, PENN MAR Vintage Cars,  All Star Race Trucks and Four 
Cylinder Stock Cars will be governed by their own  individual club specifications.  
The  novelty divisions such as School Bus, Mini Vans, Road Warriors, etc. will 
be  released in January.  The Demolition  Derbies will be sanctioned by 
Smashmasters.
