Environmental Design + Construction Magazine Announces Keynote and Seminar Topics for Green Design Solutions 2006: Mixed-Use Projects
TROY, Mich., Nov. 15, 2005 -- Environmental Design + Construction (ED+C), the premier publication serving the green building marketplace, announces Andrew G. Acho as keynote speaker and additional seminar topics for annual educational conference Green Design Solutions 2006.
ED+C's 2nd Annual Green Design Solutions conference, May 2-4, 2006, will focus on Mixed-use projects with a comprehensive case study and tour of the Atlantic Station brownfield development in Atlanta, Ga. The conference is endorsed by the USGBC Atlanta chapter and the Southface Energy Institute.
Ford Motor Company's worldwide director of Environmental Outreach & Strategy, Andrew G. Acho, will kick-off the conference with a keynote presentation. Acho will present on Environmental Stewardship and Ford Initiatives. Acho serves as Ford's champion for the development and implementation of more aggressive actions that demonstrate Ford's commitment to the environment, including leading the global Conservation and Environmental Grants program in more than 40 countries outside the U.S. He initiated and led Ford's Recycling Action Team (nicknamed "The Rat Patrol"). He has been aggressively pursuing and implementing environmental stewardship efforts since 1990.
