MotorSports Emporium Announces Third Quarter Results; Company Updates Shareholders on Strategy and Business Opportunities
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Nov. 1, 20055, 2005--MotorSports Emporium Inc. (OTCBB:MSEP) today announced third quarter financial results and updates investment community on plans moving forward.David Keaveney, President and CEO stated, "Over the past nine-months, in an attempt to enhance future shareholder value, we have been focused on reducing our debt load and strengthening our balance sheet. Accordingly by September 30, 2005, we have reduced our notes payable by approximately $217,000, or 50% and total liabilities by approximately $381,000, or 47%, as compared to December 31, 2004. This has significantly reduced our liquidity pressures and will allow us to focus future efforts toward business operations and growth opportunities. We made some tough decisions but in the end it became vital to develop clear expectations which included finding ways to reduce debt, unlock growth within the company and build confidence among shareholders. We believe that building a solid balance sheet will allow us to continue our fundamental growth."
Total revenues for the first nine months of 2005 increased by 89% to $171,268, compared to $90,435 during the same period in 2004. Revenues for the three months ending September 30, 2005, increased by 41% to $44,379, compared to $31,469 in the third-quarter of 2004.
Operating expenses during the first nine-months decreased by $208,284 or 24% when compared to the first nine-months of 2004. The decrease was primarily due to a reduction in professional and consulting fees resulting from cost containment measures and fundamental business changes implemented by management.
"Throughout the third-quarter we created a stronger Internet presence for ScaleCars.com by expanding our eBay(R) store which now boasts nearly 600 items. The slower summer months proved an excellent opportunity to build upon our earlier eBay(R) successes thereby allowing us ample time to create a much larger store front moving into the busy holiday season. We are taking advantage of the exposure created for ScaleCars.com to heighten the visibility of DriversDigs and PitStopStudios, both are being incorporated into our current eBay(R) store," continued Keaveney.
Keaveney continued, "We entered into an agreement during the third-quarter for the exclusive rights of GS610(TM) Maximum Performance Brake Fluid. A tremendous amount of energy has been put forth to ensure its success. In fact we reengineered the marketing strategy to focus on product validations and consumer education. Also we are currently in negotiations with a National Accounts Manager and a Manufacturers Rep to lead our sales force. Their immediate focus will be to generate sales from specialty shops with the goal of working largely with warehouses and auto parts stores that, by and large, generate a higher volume of sales. And with the recent launch of our newest division, Quadriga MotorSports(TM), we are creating a brand recognition strategy to bring future products to market."
"Through debt reduction efforts, enhancement of existing marketing channels and launching of new product lines, we believe we have strengthened our opportunities for future growth and success," concluded Keaveney.
