TrafficLand.com Adds 116 Live Traffic Camera Views in Washington-Baltimore Area; New Traffic Views Expand Public's Ability to Avoid Traffic Congestion by Adjusting Travel Routes and Departure Times

ROCKVILLE, Md.--Nov. 1, 20054, 2005--The TrafficLand Company, based in Fairfax, VA, has added 116 new Washington-Baltimore area traffic camera views to its Internet-based traffic video network. The new camera views include: 97 Montgomery County, Maryland; 18 Maryland State Highway Administration; and one VDOT Northern Virginia camera (in Tysons Corner.) The new cameras are located along Interstates 95, 270, 495, 695 and 70 as well as dozens of secondary routes. The increase brings the total number of Washington-Baltimore area traffic cameras to 410 currently available on the company's website (www.trafficland.com).

The TrafficLand website provides free access to its live traffic camera viewing service, which is designed to help the driving public avoid traffic congestion. The company also offers users the ability to customize and save camera displays and view live camera images on web-enabled cell phones and PDAs including Blackberry and Treo models. TrafficLand provides specialized access, through its Video Distribution System(TM), to first responders, transit agencies and emergency management organizations, to assist routine and emergency operations and improve regional mobility and public safety.

"Over the next few years, as traffic congestion increases, easy access to live traffic views will become an even more important decision-support tool for the driving public and others. TrafficLand is pleased to be working with departments of transportation across the region and around the U.S., to make this capability a reality," said TrafficLand President Larry Nelson.
