U-Haul to Honor Veterans at 2005 Phoenix Veterans Day Parade

PHOENIX, Nov. 10 -- U-Haul supports our veterans and troops as a sponsor of the 2005 Phoenix Veterans Day Parade. Please join U-Haul in honoring the men and women of the armed forces -- past and present -- with four commemorative trucks at the 2005 Phoenix Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11, 2005 at 11 a.m.

U-Haul, founded by World War II Navy veteran L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife Anna Mary Carty Shoen, has designed and dedicated four vibrant military SuperGraphics to represent and pay tribute to the four branches of the military -- Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force, to show our support for the men and women who have served and are still proudly serving in each of these units. In addition, a fifth truck depicting the United We Stand SuperGraphic dedicated commemorating the events of Sept. 11, also will be present in the parade.

"We are privileged to have the chance to participate and be one of the sponsors of this year's Veterans Day Parade for the second year in a row, stated John "J.T." Taylor, U-Haul executive vice president. "U-Haul has supported military personnel for the past 60 years and our latest Commemorative SuperGraphic series honors and pays tribute to every individual who has and is fighting to defend our freedom."

U-Haul unveiled its new commemorative SuperGraphic series in the 2004 Veterans Day Parade and took home first place in the Civilian Vehicle Category.
