Closure of Krome Avenue Today Due to Hurricane Wilma Restoration Work; FPL Urges Public to Please Drive with Caution

MIAMI--Nov. 9, 2005--Florida Power & Light Company advises drivers of the temporary closure of Krome Avenue between SW 8th Street and Okeechobee Road. The closure will be conducted from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. today. FPL will conduct significant restoration work in the area and is working together with the authorities to minimize the potential delays drivers might experience as a result of the repairs.

FPL has requested the assistance of the Florida Highway Patrol to orderly control traffic.

While FPL will try to expedite the repairs, motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes. At all times while driving, use caution and courtesy with other commuters.
