DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 9 -- With approximately 4 million people traveling this Thanksgiving, what could be better than some good old- fashioned TLC during the busiest travel season of the year?
The all-new 2006 Lincoln Zephyr sedan is adding luxury to the busiest travel period of the year with a wide range of complimentary services offered through American Airlines at select airports in the United States. This promotion, which is part of a multi-faceted marketing alliance between Lincoln and American Airlines, is the first of its kind and runs from Sunday, November 20 through Wednesday, November 23, 2005.
Well-known airline passenger advocate Con Hitchcock, who travels 30,000- 60,000 miles and spends 50 nights away from home each year, said, "My 'busy' season is under way now with the upcoming rush at the nation's airports. Each year I offer tips to travelers and topping the list is to get to the airport early to avoid the rush. That means, check in at least 90 minutes prior to departure during peak, 'high-stress' travel times like Thanksgiving. This year, I'm adding: get there early to take the edge off your day with these special services compliments of Lincoln Zephyr!"
Travelers can luxuriate in the following services from Lincoln Zephyr:
* Complimentary "dinner and a movie" on American Airlines meal service transcontinental flights to and from Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York's JFK, Miami, Newark, and Fort Lauderdale airports from Sunday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 23; movies to be shown are "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" and "Must Love Dogs;" the meal service will include American's new snack box;
* Complimentary neck and shoulder massages offered at American Airlines gates in New York's LaGuardia Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Wednesday, Nov. 23, the day before Thanksgiving, which is one of the busiest travel days of the year;
* Admirals Club members will enjoy complimentary buffets provided by Lincoln Zephyr from Sunday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 23 at New York's LaGuardia, Newark, St. Louis, Austin, Denver, Kansas City, and Washington Dulles airports.
