ADP Dealer Services Wins 14th Annual Enterprise Value Award From CIO Magazine
ADP Recognized as Best Provider of IT Systems in High Tech Category
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Nov. 9 -- In recognition of its continuous innovation in information technology (IT), ADP Dealer Services, a leading provider of integrated computing solutions to 19,500 automotive and truck dealers throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, today announced it was awarded CIO magazine's 14th Annual Enterprise Value Award in the High Tech industry category.
CIO magazine, published in more than a dozen countries, addresses issues vital to the success of chief information officers worldwide. This is the 14th year of the magazine's prestigious CIO award. Previous winners include The Dow Chemical Company, SBC Communications, Fidelity Investments, Pfizer, Inc. and The SABRE Group, among others.
Underscoring the collaboration between IT and business management, CIO magazine's Enterprise Value Award is bestowed upon select organizations that clearly demonstrate how they leverage IT to achieve business objectives and produce return on investment (ROI). CIO Enterprise Value Award winners are subjected to a rigorous judging process and considered the cream of the crop in delivering business value through the use of technology. Winning criteria include the strategic value, customer impact, financial return, operational efficiency and social impact of the IT systems created.
Jim Foote, senior director of client relations for ADP Dealer Services, accepted the award on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the 14th annual CIO Enterprise Value Awards ceremony.
"In the 14 years we've been doing the CIO Enterprises Value Awards, we've seen a growing sophistication in the value of our winners' IT initiatives," said Abbie Lundberg, editor of CIO magazine. "This year's winners hit more often and more deeply on multiple pillars on the types of value we look at: the strategic, financial, operational, customer and even social impact of what they've achieved."
Steve Anenen, president of ADP Dealer Services, said, "ADP is honored to receive this esteemed award from CIO magazine. We are committed to leveraging technology to help dealers sell cars, parts and service profitably, and we will continue to grow our capabilities for the benefit of automotive and truck dealers worldwide."
About the CIO Enterprise Value Awards:
Enterprise Value Award entries are subjected to a rigorous judging process. Following a call for entries, applications were collected in the spring of 2005. CIO editors and a review board of independent consultants and academics examined the nominations and spoke with representatives of the various companies to evaluate their systems' costs and returns and impact on each company's overall operations. The team then presented their findings to a distinguished panel of judges, made up of prominent CIOs, for further evaluation. From there, the group selected 11 winning applications and 2 honorable mentions. After concluding site visits at the winning companies, the review board presented detailed findings of their research to the judges at a day-long meeting. Finally, judges determined one Grand CIO Enterprise Value Award winner, after debating the merits of each system, which will be announced at the CIO|06: The Year Ahead Conference in November 2005.
